The MTV Video Music Awards 2012 was all about
the hairdo!
Of course, music's biggest stars flaunted their fashions,
and I'll give you my
fashion list of Best Dressed and Worst Dressed.
But first, let's talk about the hair.
The recently coiffed Miley Cyrus took a page out of
Pink's playbook and wore
her platinum 'do in a pompadour.
What do you think? Sexy?

And what about Nicki Minaj?
I know we're used to her "freak show" couture,
but she looked more like Bozo
with a little hat with her pink/blonde mop oozing
from both sides.

Rihanna, on the other hand, knows to class it up.
Her
new, shortly cropped, brunette hair was a perfect look with her long white
gown.
Best Dressed
• Rihanna: The controversial singer wore a white, slinky backless dress that was one of the night's most stunning outfits.
• Katy Perry: I tried not like this sheer, floral printed dress from Elie Saab. But it's Katy Perry. She would really have to screw it up to make it on a "Worst Dressed" list.
• Miley Cyrus: Maybe the plunging neckline was too much, but the tight, black gown from Emilio Pucci was a perfect fit. The hair? That's another matter.
Worst Dressed
• Nicki Minaj: As I said earlier, the hairdo was distracting, but unlike Miley Cyrus, Nicki's black beaded jumpsuit with red corset just made the whole look a mess. I know, it's Nicki Minaj.
• Emma Watson: She is so darn cute, but her printed dress from British designer Peter Pilotto lacked focus.
• Taylor Swift: The young crossover star can pretty much do no wrong. Well, almost. I expected more than a white pantsuit.
