NWSD: Fashionably Digital

For the last 15 years, we NWSD (North West School of Design) fashion students showcased our traditional Advertising Fashion Shows in malls and shopping centres, showcasing avant garde looks created by us, the students who designed, made and model our fantasy garments using branding and packaging material of the participating tenants in these malls.

For the 2014, our Principal Marlene Oosthuizen and her creative team decided to spice things up a little and to showcase these designs of ours to a larger audience – a digital audience!

Being in my 3rd year at NWSD as a (Fashion Management & Communication) student, it was my 3rd time I also had to design, make and model a branding garment. And as all my friends AND fellow fashion students at the college know... I'm not the greatest when coming to the making of the a garment! But ofcours I had no choice but to do it. (& if I must admit.. it is kinda fun doing the whole process.)

The brand that I (and four other students) had to present was...
KONICA MINOLTA. (read about them...)

So after we've designed and made our garment we had to prep and rehearse with the photographer/videographer Donovan Roets from Donovan Roets Photography for our first ever DIGITAL FASHION SHOW!

And after we were done...
This is what HAPPENED!
